Housing

Living in ISA housing will give you the opportunity to experience aspects of the Greek lifestyle that are inaccessible to the average visitor to Athens. Uncovering the uniqueness of your Agia Paraskevi neighborhood and the surrounding areas will help you to feel right at home. You will commute to class as most Athenians do, by foot or by bus. With an open and adaptable mind, the experience of living in another culture can be highly rewarding.

We strive to match your housing preferences with our available accommodations; however, housing preference requests cannot be guaranteed.

Apartment

The apartments are located off campus about a 15 minute walk from the university. Apartments include a shared double bedroom, a shared bathroom, a shared kitchen, and a shared living room. Single bedrooms and studio apartments may be available for an additional fee. Please note that single bedrooms and studio apartments are in extremely high demand; therefore, they cannot be guaranteed to students. Bed linens are not included, but are available for an additional fee. A $300 refundable security deposit will be charged to students living in ISA arranged housing. ISA may retain some, or all, of this deposit in the case of damage to property or if utility usage exceeds the allotted monthly amount.

Excursions

THERE’S MORE TO DISCOVER WITH ISA

Delphi

You will be able to discover the ancient and most popular archeological site of Delphi, home of the Oracle of Apollo, in Central Greece. It is a place with a rich heritage and was considered the center of the world by ancient Greeks. Arachova Village is next to Delphi; it is a very small yet picturesque village. It is also considered a popular ski resort area. This excursion is organized by ACG.

Nauplion

One of the most beautiful and romantic towns of Greece, Nauplion is located in Peloponnese. This was the first capital of Greece. The Venetians, as well as the Franks, helped in transforming the town into a fully fortified area. The castle of Palamidi and the water castle of Bourtsi are the two most beautiful buildings of the area. This excursion is organized by ACG.

Sounio

Cape Sounio is located in the southernmost tip of the Attic Peninsula. It is well known for its Temple of Poseidon, the God of Sea. The archaeological site lies by the sea and the view from the hill is spectacular. Nearby, there are traditional tavernas that serve lunch just a step away from the waves of the Aegean Sea.

Aegina

Aegina is an island in the center of the Saronic Gulf. It's home to first Greek museum and derives its name from the mother of the hero Aeacus. Its unique architecture, marvelous landscapes, and crystal water beaches make it a must see during all seasons. This excursion is organized by ACG.

Cultural Activities in Athens

The ISA on-site team encourages you to explore the city and culture of Athens. The team facilitates this by offering a robust calendar of events that showcases what makes Athens special.

These activities vary each term, and previous offerings have included the Acropolis site and museum, War Museum, Metropolis of Athens, and Glyfada beach.
